On our way to Columbia! Monday, July 13th

Monday was a day of many miles. Basically, we flew all day and into the night. But it all went very smoothly. We got to the Dayton airport in plenty of time, got our luggage checked and had plenty of time for coffee and snacks. Brittany Pardo had time to catch up on some reading.

The flight from Dayton to Atlanta was quick and easy, too. The Atlanta airport was considerably more crowded but, again, we had plenty of time for lunch before heading to our gate.

The flight to from Atlanta to Bogota was full, but the service was excellent and the flight really seemed to go quickly. Upon arrival, we deplaned and were bussed to the terminal. Here the one and only problem surfaced. Barry had forgotten to retrieve one of the carry-on bags from the plane, a garment bag belonging to Ron. Not good. Nevertheless, we were able to easily pick up all of our other bags and, before we were done, had managed to reacquire the missing bag as well.

Rick West (below), Pastor Jose Quintero, and the rest of our hosts met us exactly as planned and escorted us out of the airport.

They took us to our hotel, the Hotel Lord, got us set up, gave us a late-night snack of rotisserie chicken.

Tina and Leigh Anna (above) had a very big day. For both of them, this was their first airline flight AND their first trip out of the country. You couldn't tell it, though. They both acted like experienced world travellers and did great!

Again, we are so very grateful for all of you who helped us get here and who are, even now, faithfully lifting us up in prayer.

AND HERE WE ARE!
